Digital Scrapbooking Anyone?

Growing Up is a pretty appropriate lead for the topic of today's post.  I'm one of those persons that just loves to work with inks, papers, punches, scissors and any other creative tool I can get my hands on.   However, I'm GROWING UP and  venturing to a new world of digital tools!!!   When Stampin' Up came out with My Digital Studio, I figured I would give digital creations a try.    Notice I did not say digital scrapbooking, as I've used MDS, amongst other things, to design and create cards, scrapbook pages and to enhance pictures that I'm going to print to give to friends.

I have to say I LOVE how easy it is to enhance my pictures or create a quick layout using the predefined templates that the product comes with.   Today, I'm sharing some of my creations using templates that come with My Digital Studio.  Most of these were completed by merely selecting and dropping the pictures in.

Scrapbook pages - These can be printed as 4 x 6 or 5 x 7 pictures - Just need to make sure the portion of the picture you want printed is not cut off when uploading to a photo printing service:

These are pictures I enhanced by adding embellishments and stamped backgrounds:

Hope this gives you some creative ideas for your layouts, digital or otherwise!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I chose Artsy Treasures as the name of this blog because that is what I believe our crafts are: treasures of art that reflect who we are at the moment they are created.   Through this blog, I hope to be able to share with you ideas and techniques based on  my own creative treasures.

Long ago, I used to equate the terms artsy and creative with the ability to draw and paint. These are talents that run in my family, however they must be linked to one of those genes that skip a generation.  I've since learned that with a combination of stamps, inks, papers, tools and embellishments, I can create my own form of art, no drawing talent needed.

This blog will be dedicated to providing information on cardmaking, scrapbooking, stamping techniques and much more.
